Chelsea to resign Thorgan Hazard
The Belgian was on target twice in the first half for his country in their UEFA Nations League match with Switzerland.
The winger gave the Red Devils an early 2-0 lead before they crumbled, eventually trailing 3-2 before half-time.
Usually, it’s Eden Hazard that captures the headlines for Belgium but on Sunday night it was his brother Thorgan that stole the show.
The 25-year-old has hit seven goals in 11 Bundesliga matches this season. Before the UEFA Nations League encounter, [Thorgan] Hazard had only scored one goal in 14 appearances for his country.
Chelsea fans took to Twitter to urge the club to re-sign their former player.
One fan said:”At this rate @ChelseaFC will be very foolish not to bring back Thorgan Hazard to the bridge. but foolishness is not something you can put beyond this Chelsea board, can you?”
“Bring Thorgan Hazard home @ChelseaFC #CFC,” another added
“Thorgan hazard scoring brace. Chelsea should sell Willian and Pedro and sign Pulisic and Thorgan,” another said.
It’s easy to forget that [Thorgan] Hazard played for the Blues.
He did not make a senior appearance for the Blues and spent the majority of his time away on loan at Zulte Waregem and Gladbach.
[Thorgan] Hazard insisted he does not want to play in the same team as his brother [Eden] in a recent interview.“I’m a different type of player than my brother,” he said, according to Bulinews.
“Eden is one of the best players in the world.
“When I played for the Blues, I was too young to make the big jump. Chelsea is a huge club with outstanding players. For me, the decision to play for a different team was better.”
