Trippier injury blow for Tottenham
Kieran Trippier is set to miss the North London Derby with an ongoing groin problem.
The Tottenham full-back is recovering from a tear and is set to be out for at least another two weeks.
It means Mauricio Pochettino will be without him for the visit of Chelsea on Saturday as well as next week’s Champions League clash against Inter Milan.
He is also likely to miss the clash against Arsenal the following weekend.
Trippier pulled out of England duty for the victories over USA and Spain after picking up the problem in the win over Crystal Palace before the international break.
He was replaced after 24 minutes by Serge Aurier, and it is likely the former PSG man will step in in his absence.
In his absence for England, Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold started at right-back.
He starred in a 3-0 win over the USA, even scoring his first international goal with a fine finish inside the box.
Spurs are unwilling to risk one of the stars of the World Cup ahead of the Christmas schedule.
Poch confirmed he is sidelined for the weekend clash against Chelsea and will hopefully return to training at the end of the month.
